Two days on a motorcycle in the Vercors to understand how this magnificent and magical place could have been so isolated from the world, how it sheltered a fierce resistance but also how it was massacred. These important moments of memory, however, leave us free to marvel at the wild roads and arid, sometimes hostile nature.
Le départ de l’Esprit M nous porte directement vers ces falaises qui semblent infranchissables. Pourtant, au travers de abruptes se lovent de merveilleux virages que nous saurons adapter à votre aisance au guidon, pour votre plus grand plaisir. L’anneau du tunnel du col de la bataille nous offrira une vue à nulle autre pareille avant de replonger vers les gorges et de se régaler au bord de l’eau pour se restaurer des spécialités locales. Si l’eau vous passionne, le musée s’offre à nous !
The afternoon will take us through some new vertiginous and little-known parts of the Vercors. A little courage and we'll face a tunnel dug into the rock! But the evening will be very relaxing, with even a Norwegian bath (optional) if you like! As always, an excellent meal awaits us as we talk about the road, our group and our respective passions.
On the high plateau, we can admire the view and take advantage of the many stops (on request) for fresh air, so exotic and so far from the hustle and bustle of the valley. But history soon catches up with us, and we're off to Vassieux for the Resistance memorial (or museum). Our journey through the Vercors ends on a high note at one of the most legendary spots for bikers, under the avid gaze of vultures surfing on the rising winds of the sun-drenched cliffs. A little more courage? A new pass awaits us, before we plunge back into the valley. Esprit M is there, waiting for you, just keep the ruins of Crussol in your sights. A cool cocktail, soft or alcoholic, will be waiting for us there. Be careful, the place is welcoming, but the train is waiting for you too.
