Green Ardèche

From l'Esprit M to the village of the famous triple-starred Maison Marcon, we'll show you the Ardèche hillsides, Cornas and St Joseph, while keeping an eye on the Hermitage and Crozes Hermitage vineyards, an ever-changing spectacle with the seasons, sometimes green, sometimes tinged with ochre and vermeil. If you wish, we can also take the Ardèche train for a 1h30 ride through history and the know-how of yesteryear (optional).

We continue our journey, overlooking the Doux gorges, to land in Lamastre, the region's most famous biker hangout, at the crossroads of the famous "Côte du Pin" (a must-do on a future trip), the route de Saint-Romain, and the Doux valley we've just climbed.

After a hearty local meal, we're back on the road to St Félicien, perhaps taking time out to take a look at the superb Château de la Rosière, or perhaps after Lalouvesc you'd prefer to simply meditate at the Chapelle sous Rochepaule. Arriving in Saint-Bonnet-le-Froid, we take a short tour of the village and head for the hotel.

Partis de Saint-Bonnet-le-Froid vers le nord en navigant à la frontière de la Loire, de belles forêts, lacs et cols nous feront découvrir des paysages sauvages avant de redescendre sur les fameuses vignes de Condrieu. Le chemin du retour nous fera découvrir le Domaine Louis Chomel, excellent vigneron ardéchois que nous pourrons déguster avec sobriété sur place ou plus sereinement arrivés au bar. Les crus que vous aurez sélectionnés vous y attendrons. Une dernière petite vallée, la Cance, et nous voici en Drôme, Crozes Hermitage, Hermitage, à découvrir au Domaine Melody, jeunes vignerons talentueux, toujours à déguster au bar !
