Introducing K'ptain Kirk

K'Ptain Kirk is an amateur rock band based in Le Teil (07 400).
The band was born in January 2019, when Emmanuel and Olivier, two long-time friends, decided to set up a musical project that would enable them to play the music they were particularly fond of.
From the outset, they opted for a four-piece formula, with three musicians and a singer. This light, nimble combo enabled them to make rapid progress, playing their very first concert just two months later.
After several rearrangements, the group finally stabilized when Jérôme and Philippe, two experienced musicians, joined the small "Enterprise". Since then, they have acquired solid stage experience.

Their respective musical preferences - rock, post-punk and new wave - naturally lead them to cover bands from the 80s, such as Joy Division, The Sound, The Cure, Joe Jackson, The Lords of the New Church, The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Stranglers, The Clash, U2, Depeche Mode and many more.
But they are not stuck in the past. In fact, they also cover more current bands such as Interpol and The Pixies, and even contemporary ones like Fontaines DC.

For those wondering why the name K'Ptain Kirk, they themselves have no definitive answer on the subject.
